GreenBirth at a glance

Marlies © GreenBirthGreenBirth wants to

… inform about the prenatal life of babies according to the latest scientific evidence.

… stress the advantages of a physiological/natural birth compared to a technically controlled and medicinally assisted delivery.

… show the other side of prenatal diagnostics: Encourage to think tests over which have been proven to be full of risks, send parents into conflicts, and produce fears with serious consequences for them and their unborn child. Today we know for definite that unborn children react to stress under which their parents are due to invasive examinations and the time they have to wait for the results and that these memories can have a long term affect.*

… create an awareness reminding you that pregnancy and birth are natural processes which should only be encroached upon in case of emergency.

… encourage women to look for midwives as companions already in the early period of pregnancy because pregnancy means: “Good hope” and is no illness.

… induce medical birth attendants to concentrate on sick pregnant women and to observe psychic factors as a matter of principle.

… recommend to consider homebirths, birth house births, and births in labor rooms under the direction of midwives and to make sure of the quality of the location.

… pick up on studies in order to inform specialists and interested persons about essential results concerning the prenatal life, the influence of caesarean sections, and press statements of local critically minded persons in charge.
